This tutorial is designed to be used in conjunction with the Configuring Spam Filtering on Your Mailbox tutorial.
- Open your Outlook Express client.
- Click on Tools (look for tools in the top left) then message rules and then mail.
- The new mail rule window should appear. Select the checkbox Where the subject line contains specific words and move it to the specified folder. Additionally, name the new rule SPAM.
- Click the underlined portion contains specific words in section 3 of the new mail rule window. In the type specific words window type the word SPAM in the textbox and click the ADD button. Click OK on the type specific words window.
- Click the underlined portion specified in section 3 of the new mail rule window. Select the folder you would like to automatically move the SPAM messages to. Click OK on the move window.
- Click OK on the new mail rule window.
- Click OK on the message rules window
Once you have completed the message rule configuration all mail that has been marked as SPAM should automatically be moved to the folder that you selected in step 5.
